Giving Thanks…for Music. :)

I’m not much one for our commercial, North American holidays. Although, Thanksgiving is probably the least offensive, and remains the most wholesome. But there’s no denying that Autumn seems to naturally be a time for us to look inward, and be thankful for what we have. Just the ebb and flow of things, I guess.

I’ve got a lot to be thankful for. We all do, as North Americans. But let’s get specific.

One thing I’ve been feeling particularly thankful for lately is the abundance of new music flooding my newsfeed on Facebook. It seems pretty much every weekday (perhaps not on the weekends as much) there’s a new track or 3 to listen to. Some are available to download for free. And then occasionally, a full mix will pop into your feed – which I love. I’m on an endless search for continuous music to listen to while I work.

Point is, I’m amazed at how much new music I’m able to find simply by logging into Facebook.

So, in the spirit of giving, I shall share with you what has made me so thankful this week. Here’s a collection of my FB finds for the first week of October. I posted many of these to the Shambhala FB page, and there’s a few more that I didn’t get a chance to post. Enjoy! (Oh, and, leave a comment telling me what YOU’RE thankful for!)

ROBB G – No Pants Dance

Elite Force – Afrika Machine Drums Revamp

  1. I totally agree. This holiday weekend is a super reflective time and man am I thankful. Specifically for Shambhala, the beautiful(understatement of the year) sham people and of course the music. Music and love go hand in hand and they make the world go around. Thank you for sharing your music and have an aaaaammmmmmazing weekend.

I am thankful for my wife. She stands behind every hairbrained scheme that I come up with (even returning to university at age 34). Her level head and infectious laugh give me strength that I never thought possible. We always go to Shambhala together and the music and vibes bring us ever closer, so I’m thankful for Sham too!
